Structure and Syllabus for Calicut University Ph.D Entrance Exam

The Ph.D entrance examination that is organized by the Calicut University comprises of two sections. The first section consists of fifty objective type questions. Each question carries one mark. The second section consists of 15 subjective questions. Among the 15 questions the candidate need to answer any 10 questions of their choice.

Qualification Criteria for Structure and Syllabus for Calicut University Ph.D Entrance Exam

The students those who have passed their post graduation from Calicut University or from any other reputed universities having a minimum of 55% marks are eligible to apply for Calicut University Ph.D entrance examination. The SC/ST candidates are given 5% relaxation in the required minimum qualification. Those candidates who hold M.Phil degree in the relevant field need not appear for the entrance examination.

Download the application forms from the university website by visiting http://www.universityofcalicut.info. The candidates those who are permanently residing in Kerala have to pay an application fees of Rs 500/-. The fees can be paid by obtaining the challan from the treasury of State bank of India. After filling it completely it should be sent to the Head of the Department or Research Centre along with the receipt of the challan. The candidates those who are residing outside Kerala have to pay the application fees as demand draft and it must be payable at State Bank of Travancore, Calicut University Branch. The demand draft should be drawn in favour of the finance officer, university of Calicut.
